The Prayer Service this past Sunday was an awesome time on the spiritual front! What a level of wars that took place! I have to say I was very exhausted emotionally that night!! The feeling of exhaustion made me aware of something. I have often wondered about the amount of stress Jesus felt in the Garden of Gesthemane when praying to God the Father. How do you measure it from a reality stand point? After the Prayer service I had something of quantity to measure from to make me more sensative to the burden that Jesus was carrying for all of us.
We were dealing with individuals on a one by one basis the other night and had others in our group praying over the individual in need. Jesus was all alone!! And……He was taking on all the burdens of the world on Himself at one time! Man! I can’t imagine the level of difficulty this had to be!!!
In the Gospel of Luke it describes the sweat Jesus shed were like drops of blood! Talk about agony! We naturally get so caught up in the physical aspects of His crucifiction that we overlook the mental aspects. Read the verses taken from Luke 22 below. You will see that Jesus preferred not to go through with the torment required but loved us so much that He did it anyway!!! He knew what was ahead of Him.
LUKE 22:41-44 NASB
41And He withdrew from them about a stone’s throw, and He knelt down and began to pray,
42saying, “Father, if You are willing, remove this cup from Me; yet not My will, but Yours be done.”
43Now an angel from heaven appeared to Him, strengthening Him. 44And being in agony He was praying very fervently; and His sweat became like drops of blood, falling down upon the ground.
Once again, I have been humbled in a way that I’ve never experienced before! I continue to get this the more I pursue God’s will. Several shared after the service about how powerful the Holy Spirit felt that night!! Our church is truly blessed to in making the Holy spirit feel so welcome!
I am proud of GMWC!
Thanks,

My good friend Mark at the Emmaus Walk #96 sent me this prayer. This is something that he makes an effort to take a few minutes every morning and pray to God about. He has told me that he has to die to himself daily. What a great and humble way to be! Whether we will admit it or not, the devil is constantly at work in our lives, trying to do what he can to bring us down, or even keep us where we are at so that we do not draw closer to God. This prayer means so much to me, and I hope that this is something that will help and encourage you. It is called The Warriors Prayer. Mark’s nickname is The Warrior, by the way! I hope all of you are doing well and that whatever life throws at you today, you will take it to God and share it with Him. HE is always there for us guys! No matter what the struggle is, we are never alone.

The Warrior’s Prayer
Heavenly Father, I am your warrior- prepare me for battle. Today I claim victory over Satan by putting on the whole armor of God! I put on the Girdle of Truth! May I stand firm in the truth of YOUR word so I will not be a victim of Satan’s lies. I put on the Breastplate of Righteousness! May it guard my heart from evil so that I will remain pure and holy, protected under the Blood of JESUS CHRIST. I put on the Sandals of Peace! May I stand firm in the GOOD NEWS of the gospel so YOUR peace will shine through me and be a light to all I encounter. I take the Shield of Faith! May I be ready for Satan’s fiery darts of doubt, denial and deceit so I will not be vulnerable to spiritual defeat. I put on the helmet of Salvation! May I keep my mind focused on YOU so Satan will not have a stronghold on my thoughts. I take the Sword of the SPIRIT! May the two-edged sword of your word be ready in my hands so I can expose the tempting words of Satan. By FAITH your warrior has put on the whole armor of GOD! I am prepared to live this day in spiritual victory!!! In the strong name of JESUS-a-men
I received this request and will pray for this need. All American Christians need to read this and pray because what happens in Israel in the next few weeks will be a direct link to the future of this country, (USA). WE need to stand will and support Israel in every way possible. Remember the Iranian government hates you as well as Israel.

Please take a minute and pray this prayer.
Prov. 29:25
You never know
when God is going to bless you!!
Good things happen when
you least expect them to !!!!!!!!
Dear Lord, I thank You for this day,
I thank You for my being able to see
and to hear this morning.
I’m blessed because You are
a forgiving God and
an understanding God.
You have done so much for me
and You keep on blessing me.
Forgive me this day for everything
I have done, said or thought
that was not pleasing to you.
I ask now for Your forgiveness.
Please keep me safe
from all danger and harm.
Help me to start this day
with a new attitude and plenty of gratitude.
Let me make the best of each and every day
to clear my mind so that I can hear from You.
Please broaden my mind
that I can accept all things.
Let me not whine and whimper
over things I have no control over.
And give me the best response
when I’m pushed beyond my limits.
I know that when I can’t pray,
You listen to my heart.
Continue to use me to do Your will.
Continue to bless me that I may be
a blessing to others.
Keep me strong that I may help the weak…
Keep me uplifted that I may have
words of encouragement for others.
I pray for those that are lost
and can’t find their way.
I pray for those that are misjudged
and misunderstood.
I pray for those who
don’t know You intimately.
I pray for those that will delete this
without sharing it with others
I pray for those that don’t believe.
But I thank You that I believe
that God changes people and
God changes things.
I pray for all my sisters and brothers.
For each and every family member
in their households.
I pray for peace, love and joy
in their homes; that they are out of debt
and all their needs are met.
I pray that every eye that reads this
knows there is no problem, circumstance,
or situation greater than God.
Every battle is in Your hands for You to fight.
I pray that these words be received
into the hearts of every eye that sees it
in Jesus’ name. Amen!
Here is something we should all be in prayer about. I usually don’t hear much about these kinds of lawsuits happening in Kentucky, so I was alarmed to see this.
FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) – A group of atheists has filed a lawsuit in Kentucky seeking to remove God from the state’s homeland security detail. American Atheists Inc. filed the lawsuit in Frankfort on Tuesday, claiming Kentucky violated the Constitution by enacting a law in 2006 that stresses God’s role in protecting the state. Attorney Edwin F. Kagin called the law “one of the most egregiously and breathtakingly unconstitutional actions” that he has ever seen. Kentucky Homeland Security Director Thomas Preston declined to comment on the lawsuit. Of particular concern to American Atheists is a clause that requires the Office of Homeland Security to post a plaque that says the safety of the state “cannot be achieved apart from reliance upon Almighty God.” The group seeks unspecified financial damages and legal fees.
Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit. And there are varieties of ministries, and the same Lord. There are varieties of effects, but the same God who works all things in all persons. But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good. For to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, and to another the word of knowledge according to the same Spirit; to another faith by the same Spirit, and to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit, and to another the effecting of miracles, and to another prophecy, and to another the distinguishing of spirits, to another various kinds of tongues, and to another the interpretation of tongues. But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually just as He wills. For even as the body is one and yet has many members, and all the members of the body, though they are many, are one body, so also is Christ.
God has given each of us gifts that can be exercised for the common good of the church, our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ, and also for those who do not know Christ. Not everyone’s gift is the same but we all do have gifts! Some people I think choose not to exercise their gifts and although the body of Christ continues to function, it does not functioning at its best. There are some overworked Christians in the Church today just because of this! God wants us to use our spiritual gifts to benefit others in this world to Glorify Christ. When we work together, we work together, we stay strong together. What has God gifted you?

THIS MAN SURE HAS A GOOD VIEW OF WHAT’S HAPPENING TO OUR COUNTRY!
‘Heavenly Father, we come before you today to ask your forgiveness and to seek your direction and guidance. We know Your Word says, ‘Woe to those who call evil good,’ but that is exactly what we have done. We have lost our spiritual equilibrium and reversed our values. We have exploited the poor and called it the lottery. We have rewarded laziness and called it welfare. We have killed our unborn and called it choice. We have shot abortionists and called it justifiable. We have neglected to discipline our children and called it building self esteem. We have abused power and called it politics. We have coveted our neighbor’s possessions and called it ambition. We have polluted the air with profanity and pornography and called it freedom of expression. We have ridiculed the time-honored values of our forefathers and called it enlightenment. Sear ch us, Oh God, and know our hearts today; cleanse us from every sin and Set us free. Amen!’
Commentator Paul Harvey aired this prayer on his radio program, ‘The Rest of the Story,’ and received a larger response to this program than any other he has ever aired. With the Lord’s help, may this prayer sweep over our nation and wholeheartedly become our desire so that we again can be called ‘One nation under God.’
Thanks,
Robby
As we begin the month of November we always think of Thanksgiving. How often do we get caught up in the Holiday instead of the meaning? I encourage each us to make this a month a of devotion of thanks. Each day as we spend our quite time, let’s reflect on who God is. I have tried to think of 26 different things God is to me.(a name for each letter of the alphabet). Also remember to be thankful for things of the past where you have seen God’s hand of protection and blessing. Thank him for what he is doing and what you might be going through now, and be sure to be aware that he is working in your life for the future. He recieves joy when we come with a humble heart of Thanksgiving. For Him Always, Chad
Dear Father,
We are now at the eve of the most defining presidential elections I have ever witnessed in my lifetime. The goals of each candidate are as different as the world is wide. Lord, I just pray for your presence to be felt on all even though our country has asked you to step aside for so long. I’m so sorry for the mistake some in our country have made in thinking that you are not needed.
In what looks to be some challenging and tough days ahead, you are in control. We know you will prevail and we want to be along your side when you do.
My prayer is this…..I pray that when each voter enters their booth to choose whom they feel should be our country’s leader, that they will find they are not alone. I pray that each will discover your presence inside that booth in a way that has never been felt before. When they prepare to push the button they desire, that they will take into consideration whether it is pleasing and honoring to You. I pray for every Christian who enters with intent to cast a vote that does not honor You, that they will feel a discomfort and uneasiness that tells them “think again”. I simply pray that our entire country will be moving in a supernatural way like we have never witnessed before! We love You and thank You, in Jesus’ name I pray,
Amen.

Something I would like for all to be in prayer for this week, is our newly elected Elders. These men will be taking on a huge responsibility and I pray that God would continue to lead, guide, and direct the hearts of these men. We need to unite in prayer for them, and continue to remember to prayer for all of the Elders daily.
